Privacy Policy

Placeholder content — review before launch. This template covers the key points for a privacy-first app, but it must be reviewed by legal counsel and adapted to your actual practices and jurisdictions before publishing.

1. The short version

  • Your financial data is stored on your device, not on our servers.
  • We do not collect, read, analyze or share your financial data.
  • If you enable sync, your data is end-to-end encrypted and we cannot decrypt it.
  • The website sets no tracking or advertising cookies.

2. Data stored on your device

All accounts, transactions, budgets and reports you create in SoloFin live locally on your device. We have no access to this data. Deleting the app removes it permanently.

3. Optional sync

If you subscribe to SoloFin Pro and enable sync, your ledger is synced through our servers using end-to-end encryption. Data is encrypted on your device with a key only you hold. We store only ciphertext and cannot recover, read or hand over the contents of your ledger.

4. Account & payment data

Purchases are processed by the respective app stores (Apple, Google, Microsoft, Canonical) under their own privacy policies. We receive no payment details such as card numbers.

5. Website

This site is served as static files. It does not use cookies, analytics trackers or fingerprinting. Server logs kept by our hosting provider may contain standard technical request data for security and abuse prevention.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Since we hold almost none, most requests concern your local data — which you can export or delete directly from the app. For anything else, contact us at privacy@solofin.com.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we will announce it here and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app.
